& Schwarz have partnered to develop a dramatic enhancement to
the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) digital transmission
standard. This technology is now being standardized in ATSC, with
field testing under way and a completed open standard targeted for

Why ATSC Mobile
with A-VSB? - In February 2009, all broadcasters will
be required to cease analog broadcasts in favor of digital.
Using A-VSB technology, broadcasters would be able to open new
portable and mobile TV markets using their own stations and
