In contemporary fashion, there’s no shame in making it big, and Jessie Randall is speaking volumes with her footwear and new handbag line, Loeffler Randall, without ever raising her voice. “There’s a subtlety about our line that is very important to me,” she says from her Brooklyn studio. A 2006 CFDA Fashion Award nominee, Randall has trained her eye on flawless form and silhouette: “the perfect toe, neither too pointed or too rounded.” But she also touts her shoes functionality, with heels that are manageable but still sexy. While her palette revolves around nude pinks, gray, and taupe-—accented with a pop of modern color—Randall is more likely to credit fashion history than fashion trend for her hallmark inspirations. “It’s about borrowing inspiration from these vintage elements that I love, but also keeping the designs undeniably modern,” she says. “The important thing is always to create new ideas.”
