Imagine a flat panel TV screen you walk on and interact with—a touchscreen for your feet. That’s just one possibility for Smartslab. Each tile is a digital display panel composed of hundreds of hexagonal LED pixels (which have 18 percent better resolution than square pixels) capable of displaying 16 million colors. Made of aerospace composites and fortified by a honeycomb support structure, they’re tough enough to be used on the floor—or on the wall.
