When it comes to getting the laughs, few Hollywood players have the track record of producer / director / screenwriter David Zucker. Ever since his early hits, Kentucky Fried Movie and Airplane!, Zucker and his partners, brother Jerry Zucker and David Abrahams, have laid down one slaphappy, pun-laden picture after another from Top Secret and The Naked Gun to Phone Booth, H.U.D. and most of the Scary Movie movies (including Scary Movie 4, which is about to be released). When we’re working crazy hours I don’t have time to watch TV, but with TiVo, I do now. Only problem is, there’s nothing good on.

This is the movie that inspired Airplane! The movie that inspired me was Midway.
