Form Us With Love
Operating out of Stockholm under a name born of deft word play and a philosophy that grants objects the capacity to shape us (and vice versa), Form Us With Love make interactive furniture. Not chairs with touch screens, but things like a soft, silicon jellyfish lamp on bendable, adjustable legs that responds to your touch or flat packed-aluminum furniture that you bend into shape yourself. Last spring, for a party themed the “Hidden Temple,” the designers began making ancient-looking columns out of polyurethane, which they draped with ivy and exotic plants. Each column, stiffened with plastic tubes, could be “broken” into smaller chunks to become seats for arriving guests, who perched like the ancient deities atop ruined temples.
