When flowers won’t cut it, a bouquet of Havaleena lights just might. The rod-shaped lights, named for what sibling designers Monica and Teo Berndt of Tayo describe as an “onomateopaeic translation” of the Spanish word for javelin, can, like their namesake, be stuck into the ground or, like another inspiration, arranged in a vase. The acrylic diffuser holds vellum filters that can be printed with cool colors or messages—Tayo suggests “Marry me” Roses move over. —Eva Hagberg
