Korean Home: Way of Living> Old Asia hands know design concepts such as wabisabi (the Japanese aesthetic of transience), but Korean influences on contemporary design are hardly known. Indeed, Korean design is a multifaceted enterprise, encompassing a love of nature and an acceptance of monotonous high rise apartment complexes, a search for innate beauty and a fascination for the toylike superficiality of digital culture. Korean Home/ The way of living at the National Museum of Finland, Helsinki, seeks to change that with examples from the way Koreans actually live, from the highways to the mountains. —Eva Hagberg
