Lara Miller
Designer Lara Miller may be new to the fashion game, but ever since a stint at Laurenceleste, the Chicago-based organic babywear company, she’s been using leftover fabrics and low-impact dyed yarns. While her range of dresses and lean tunics, drawstring shorts and gauzy trousers have a laid-back vibe, a closer look reveals clever construction, thoughtful details and, most of all, versatility. “Each piece has a strong sense of style while emphasizing the importance of conservation, not only through my production choices, but also through the physicality of the garments, having pieces that can be flipped or wrapped,” she says. “It’s all about the wearer’s sense of individuality.”
