Here are 7 tips and tricks to get started with the newest Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and S7 smartphones.
1. Free some space thanks to the micro SD
The process is very simple: just go to Settings, "Applications" and "Applications Manager". Tap on the app you want to move, and choose "micro SD card" as a storage location.
2. Enable the "Always On Display" mode
Thanks to this new mode, your Galaxy S7 can always stay in standby.
You will have access to various information, such as time, calendar, date, battery level and notifications, at all times.
The function will deactivate only when you have your phone in your pocket or when you have low battery on your Galaxy S7.
To activate this mode, go to the settings screen and select the Always On Display function. Pick what you want to display in the configuration settings.
3. Samsung Motion Picture
No more excuses for badly taken pictures: your Samsung Galaxy S7 has now the possibility to take moving pictures.
Activate the Motion Picture Mode in the camera settings, and you will notice a small icon in your gallery allowing you to see the small video clip surrounding the picture.
4. Remove unwanted apps
If you end up not using some of the pre-installed apps on your Samsung Galaxy S7 edge or S7, you can simply remove them.
Go to the application menu at the bottom of your phone and tap "Change".
You will see a "-" sign on your apps. You can now remove any app that you don't use in order to free space on your phone.
5. Take a picture in less than a second
Don't let precious moments escape ever again! Opening your camera on the Galaxy S7 edge and S7 is easier than ever.
All you have to do is double tap on the Home button.
The camera app will open directly as the sensor is extremely fast, and you can take a picture very rapidly.
6. Share your Wi-Fi connection
You can now share your Wi-Fi connection between your Galaxy S7 and other devices. In a situation where your smartphone captures the Wi-Fi but not the device next to it, you can now share the connection very simply.
In order to do this, you will need to activate Wi-Fi sharing option in the access points whenever needed.
7. Store your photos and videos on your micro SD card
You can insert a card up to 200GB in your Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and S7.
This can be useful to store heavy files such as photos and videos, and not run out of storage when you want to take the perfect picture.
All you have to do is to open the camera and tap "Parameters". Go to the storage option and select "SD Card".
