Al Noor Centre Receives Partial Sales Earnings from Samsung 17/10/11

Al Noor Center for Children with Special Needs today received an amount of AED 124,300 from Mr. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics. The donation was collected through Samsung's annual Ramadan campaign held earlier this year.

Through its long-standing partnership, Al Noor Centre for Children with Special Needs, a leading non-profit organization, and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in consumer electronics rolled out a month long campaign to raise funds to benefit children with special needs. As part of the campaign, Samsung donated a share from every product sold in the UAE during Ramadan. The flagship products and donation amounts include: the SH 100 Wi-Fi (AED 100), the D800 SMART TV (AED 300), Series 9 notebook (AED 500), Galaxy Tab (7-inch and 10.1) (AED 50) and the RS26 Designer Refrigerator (AED 2,000).

"This donation will make an enormous difference to lives of the children we care for. For years, Samsung has been a leader in driving a change in people's lives and the Ramadan campaign is another great initiative by the company to encourage the community to get more involved in this special cause," said Ms. Isphana Al Khatib, Director of Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs .

Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs, established in 1981, serves children with special needs from different nationalities. The Centre runs with the support of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
