Samsung Brings Hope, Fun and Entertainment to children at the Al Noor- Samsung Hope for Children Fun Fair 13/03/11

Keeping in line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and giving back to society,Samsung as the Title Sponsor supported the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs in holding one of the most fun fundraising events of the year, Al Noor-Samsung Hope For Children Fun Fair, on Friday, February 25 that Al Noor premise in Al Barsha. The evenr was great success were approximately 400,000 dirhams have been raised to the benefit of the Al Noor and the entire proceeds will be utilized to cover a part of the running cots of the centerin order to continue to support its cause in serving children with special needs.

The event had over 5,000 visitors including Al Noor's staff, volunteers and Samsung employees who enjoyed themselves with the wide range of activities that were organized for everyone, including games, rides, bazaars, and the big bike parade by Emirates Motor sports Federation.

Samsung also held a raffle draw to help raise funds for the centerproviding winners with 12 of Samsung's cutting-edge products including a 46-inch LED TV, Galaxy Tabs, Wave smartphone, N150 Netbooks, R540 Notebook, 2View Digital Cameras, Home Appliances and more. Samsung's raffle drawsuccessfully sold over 20,000 raffle tickets at 10 dirhams each.

The event was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassi, Minister of Health; Mr. Y.S. Kim, President of Samsung Gulfand Mr. Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman, Al Noor Centre along with the Board Members of Al Noor Training Centre.

In December 2010, Samsung and Gulf Electronics and Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs partnered up and launched afully fledged CSR program to help children live, learn and thrive. The ‘Samsung Hope for Children' initiative increases the company's cause-related marketing focus to have greater impact on the two areas most affecting children: health and education.
