What is HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access)?

Last Update date : 2015.03.12

[Solution]

HSDPA is a method to provide high speed download to users.

Example

WCDMA is like using a dedicated thin pipe for each user, whereas HSDPA is like using a common thick pipe which is shared by users.

The less the pipe is occupied, the more the user can enjoy high speed data transfer. This is much more efficient method than allocating dedicated pipes to users.
