The Galaxy Tab - Device not charging while charging via PC USB port.

The Galaxy Tab has the ability to charge while connected via USB to a PC. While it will charge, it will charge at a slower rate. See the table below for the approximate charge times.



Note: When the device is connected to a PC to charge, a Red X may appear on the charging icon (see above). The charging percentage will not be available when the screen is locked, and the device will display the normal charging status on the screen when the device is turned off (Large Battery Icon).


Tip: We recommend that you use the wall charger to charge the device. If you need to use the PC to charge your device we recommend that you power Off the device so that it can charge while not attempting to use power. The power is needed to for the 7,000 mAh battery on the device. The wall charger is rated at 2 Amps, whereas most USB ports on a PC are rated between .4 and .5 Amps.
