Our CSR2.0 approach is about finding a balance between social contribution and alignment to business. Our CSR program therefore aligns to our Samsung Blue Education, our target to become a $10 Bil business in Africa by 2015.


To align to this bottom-line, our CSR program - Samsung Blue Education, seeks to expose our current and future consumer base to our product offering, build their skills, and ensure their employability and entrepreneurship. Whilst we implement a variety of programs, as seen in the opening video, our core CSR program focuses on three pillars - Samsung Electronics Engineering Academy, Samsung Solar-Powered Wireless Internet Schools and Samsung Mobile Education- e-education, content, applications...

The Samsung Electronics Engineering Academy aims to develop 10 000 Electronics Engineers across Africa by 2015. It's currenty being piloted in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa and will scale to more countries in 2015.

Samsung's Solar-Powered Mobile Internet Schools initiative aims to reach 500 000 learners by 2015. The pilot programme has been roled out in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
