David Beckham has cemented his position as a national treasure through his many achievements on the sporting field. Playing for top football clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan and LA Galaxy, Beckham's illustrious career has made him a globally recognised name in the world of sport. He is sure to be a great Global Olympic Ambassador for Samsung at London 2012.
"Samsung's Olympic Ambassador David Beckham has already nominated his Local Hero, 18-year-old Bermondsey volunteer Gabriella Roseje. "She is an inspiring person, not only successful in her own right but willingly supports those around her," Beckham said.

Zara Phillips
Zara Phillips MBE is a successful equestrienne, having won the World Eventing Championship in 2006, which adds to her team and individual gold medals at the 2005 European Eventing Championship. In 2011, she finished first at the Ballindenisk International Trials and tenth at the Burghley Horse Trials, putting her in contention for a place in Britain's equestrian team in the 2012 Olympic Games.
Zara is keen to promote the London 2012 Olympic Games: "To have the Olympic Games in our country is fantastic for British sport. Hopefully it will encourage more people to take part in sport as well as improve facilities. I'm really excited. There are lots of ways for people to get involved as well, which is really important, as it will feel like it's everyone's Olympic Games, and will be great for the country as a whole," she said.
