AV solutions for Africa, ’tuned by Don Jazzy’

CAPE TOWN 22nd March 2012 – The Samsung Afro-POP Home Theatre System, released today at the Samsung Africa Forum conference in Cape Town, is a sound solution that epitomises the undertones of true African musicality. Afro pop mode, a sound built from African sounds, has been developed through the EQ tuning of a sound optimised equaliser - undertaken by leading African celebrity, Don Jazzy. Says Dae Hee Kim, Regional Product Manager for Samsung Electronics Africa; “Samsung is the first company in Africa to develop an African sound born from an African citizen and targeted at the true cultural diversity of the continent. It is this type of innovation and forward thinking that is elevating the Samsung brand in Africa and we are sure that this product will have a large uptake – where it relates directly to the African market, which is musical and culturally adept.” HT-ES455K, one of Samsung Afro-POP Home Theatre models is offering 1000W with 5.1ch along with Africa specific features including;   - My Karaoke – a karaoke function that enables the removal of voice from music for voice over and personal entertainment, a tune tone for both male and females – to gauge the competence of the individual as well as song recordings for playback.   - Surge safe plus - surge protection, humidity protection, and lightening protection   - The systems can be mounted in differing ways to suit consumer tastes including; a sound bar below the TV screen, a wall mount – next to each side of the TV and Half Tall Boys, which stand next to the TV screen. “Previously, in 2011, Samsung were focused on the consistent improvement on sound quality and levels – which they were very successful in however, product innovations such as this one will drive the demand and brand loyalty towards their products far more and as long as they continue with this type of product development and drive I am sure they will continue to deliver strong, market relevant products – built specifically with the African consumer in mind,” concludes Don Jazzy.
