How Do You Enter Safe Mode For Windows 8/8.1

Entering Safe Mode for Windows 8/8.1


Safe mode starts Windows in a limited state where only essential programs are started. Windows 8 changes the way users boot into safe mode.

Booting into Safe Mode


1. If you are not signed in to Windows, click on the power icon, press and hold Shift, and then click Restart. If you are logged in, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, click on the power icon, press and hold Shift, and then click Restart.

2. Your PC will restart and ask for you to Choose an option. Select Troubleshoot.

3. Select Advanced options.

4. Select Startup Settings.

5. Select the option of your choice. For safe mode press 4 or F4.

6. The different startup settings with appear, select Restart. Your PC will restart into safe mode.
