After attempting to launch the ‘Smart tutor’ icon on my Tab4 Active device (SM-T360, SM-T365) it doesn’t appear to work and all I see is an “error page / error message”. Is my device faulty?

Your device is not faulty. 

What should happen when you tap the “pre installed” SMART TUTOR icon on

your Tab4 device (SM-T360, SM-T365) is that the device will open Google “Play”

where the Smart Tutor is registered and enable you  / the device to fully install it.

However the location the Tab4 will look for on Google Play for the Smart Tutor app has changed. 


Therefore when attempting to launch ‘Smart Tutor” using the icon that is “pre-installed” on

your device it will show an “error page”.

Samsung will be issuing a software update for this issue (expected in March 2015) however

if you wish to install Smart Tutor on your device you can do so without waiting for a software update.


To install Smart Tutor, open the Google Play app on your device and search for  “SMART TUTOR” or

“Smart Tutor for SAMSUNG Mobile”, and tap on INSTALL.
