I cannot turn on Wi-Fi on my Gear S2 when connected to mobile device via Bluetooth. What's the problem?

Last Update date : 2015.09.30

A : You can connect the Gear S2 device to a Wi-Fi network to use the Internet or share media files with other

devices. But, please note this feature is only available when the Gear S2 is not connected to

the mobile device that you would normally be connected to via Gear Manager app.

When the Gear S2 is connected via Bluetooth to a Mobile device, the Wi-Fi network connection on the

Gear S2 is no longer necessary because Gear S2 will use the data network of the connected mobile device.

As a result, having the Gear S2 connected to a Wi-Fi network in addition to being connected to a

Mobile device via Bluetooth would simply lead to increased battery consumption.

Hence, this is why Wi-Fi  on the Gear S2 is disabled when connected to a mobile device.
