The battery does not charge properly with Samsung-approved charger. What should I do?

Firstly ensure that you connect the Gear fit2 to the charger dock and connect the dock to the charger properly. If the battery is completely discharged, the Gear cannot be turned on immediately when the charger is connected. Allow a depleted battery to charge for a few minutes before turning on the Gear. Nevertheless if you cannot power on your Gear fit2, please follow below steps.


1. During pressing and holding Power key, place the gear on the charger dock with the charging terminal facing each other for about 10 seconds . Please check charging(lightning) symbol appears or not.  


2. If lightning symbol had appeared and rebooting was started with Samsung logo, detach finger from power button.


In case lightning symbol did not appear, please back to step one. If symbol did not be shown despite several tries, please visit authorized Samsung service center with your Gear, charger dock, and TA.


3. After fully charging your gear, please upgrade to latest software version by FOTA service.

Samsung encourages users to keep software updated to latest version.
