What Is The Viewing Angle For Projection TVs?

Last Update date : 2011.01.16

Samsung Projection TVs have a horizontal viewing angle of approximately 140 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of approximately 60 degrees. This means that when viewing a Projection TV, your eyes should be no more than about 70 degrees to the left or right of the center of the screen and no more than about 30 degrees above or below the center of the screen.  Also, for optimal viewing, the larger the screen, the further you should sit from it. For example, if you have a 46 inch screen, you should be no closer than about 5 and 1/2 feet. If you have a 58 inch screen, you should be no closer than 6 and 1/2 feet.
