Network Connection

Setting up a Wired Configuration to existing Home Network (DNLA and Internet@TV).

With the TV off, Connect one end of a LAN cable to the LAN connector at the back of your TV set, then connect the other end of the LAN cable to your router or IP switch (note: Internet@tv requires internet connection, please make sure your existing network has broadband connection).

Power on The TV.
Go into the TV menu – select settings.
Go to network type (select cable).
Go to Cable network setup.
Select the Auto Setup function (the network will allocate an IP address to the TV automatically).
Select Network Test to test the connection is working.

(note: if running static IP read below).

Power on The TV.
Go into the TV menu – select settings.
Go to network type (select cable).
Go to Cable network setup.
Select the Manual Setup function.
Using remote key in relevant fields.
Set the network settings manually using the numeric keypad on the remote:
•  IP Address: 000.000.000.000
•  Subnet Mask: 000.000.000.000
•  Gateway: 000.000.000.000
•  DNS server: 000.000.000.000

Select Network Test to test the connection is working.

Setting up a Wireless Configuration to existing Home Network (DNLA and Internet@TV).

Note: Only works with Samsung Dongle (WIS09AG) which is purchased separately SAMSUNG WIS09AG MUST BE USED, other brand USB dongles do not work.


With the TV on, Connect the Samsung Wireless Dongle to the USB 2.0 port on side of TV. The TV will automatically prompt that the wireless device has been connected. select ok switch (note: Internet@tv requires internet connection, please make sure your existing network has broadband connection.


Go into the TV menu – select settings.
Go to network type (select wireless).
Go to Wireless network setup.
Select Access Point (to find your wireless network/ access point to connect to).
Select the appropriate network and if/when prompted select security type and key in pin using the TV remote (TV supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 security).
Select the Auto Setup function (the network will allocate an IP address to the TV automatically and the words “connected” will appear).
select Network Test to test the connection is working.

(note: if running static IP read below)


Power on the TV.
Go into the TV menu – select settings.
Go to network type (select wireless).
Go to Wireless network setup.
Select Access Point (to find your wireless network/ access point to connect to).
Select the appropriate network and if/when prompted select security type and key in pin using the TV remote (TV supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 security).
TV remote (TV supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 security).

Select the Manual Setup function.
Using remote key in relevant fields.
Set the network settings manually using the numeric keypad on the remote:
•  IP Address: 000.000.000.000
•  Subnet Mask: 000.000.000.000
•  Gateway: 000.000.000.000
•  DNS server: 000.000.000.000

Select Network Test to test the connection is working.

First time Installing widgets onto the TV.

When setting up your internet@tv services, the first thing you will need to do is install the widgets on your TV. For example, YouTube™, although it is quite intuitive please make sure you go through the terms and conditions. Similar to installing software, the terms and conditions outline the usage and agreements of usage of these services.

To install a widget (eg YouTube™) press the internet@tv button on the remote. Select “normal widgets - internet. Select the install Youtube and follow the prompts. You will notice the installation occur (approx 5 minutes- depending on internet connection). Once the widget is installed, the widgets are available in the Widget Gallery (Note: blue button on remote accesses Widget Gallery)

 

Accessing Widgets

Press the internet@tv button on the remote. The TV will produce a “connecting” message in the bottom left of the screen. Note the widgets will appear down the left hand side of the screen. You can select a widget by moving on to the widget and pressing the enter key.

To return to TV at anytime either press the internet@TV button or press the return button on the remote to return to the previous page.
