New Galaxies Unearthed in Barcelona
Samsung has revealed what's next in its smartphone design and technology after unveiling its flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge at Samsung Unpacked 2015, part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona.
Slim & Sophisticated
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are beautifully crafted in seamless metal and glass and are the slimmest smartphones Samsung has released so far, with a thickness of just 7.0mm.
The 5.1 inch QHD Super AMOLED screen is encased in protective gorilla glass, conveying sophisticated toughness with a quality visual display.
The S6 Edge made a particularly bold statement, showcasing a world first dual-edge display, that provides wide-angle access to email, calls and messages.
You can even colour code some of your favourite contacts so you know exactly who is trying to reach you!
It was only a matter of time before 'going wireless' also meant charging your phone without connecting it to a cable, and that time is now.
The Wireless Charging Pad (available separately) can be used with both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
Simply plug-in the charging pad and place your S6 or S6 Edge on its surface to commence charging.
Samsung has also improved its
plug-in charger. You can get up to 4 hours of typical
use, after charging your S6 or S6 Edge for as little as 10 minutes!
Fast Cameras, Happier Snaps
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge's vivid display does wonders for the photos you take using the front and back cameras.
You can launch the camera in under a second just by 'double tapping' the screen.
That makes taking pictures easy, even in low light conditions, and you have a 16mp (megapixel) main* camera and 5mp front-facing camera to choose from.
After that, it's all point and shoot simplicity. Learn more Galaxy S6 camera tips and tricks.
*The main camera combines a F1.9 aperture, fast tracking auto focus and Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
