Samsung Unpacked 2015
The time has come and Unpacked 2015 is now over! What was Unpacked you ask? Unpacked is where we announced (and gave you backstage / behind the scenes access to) our latest Galaxy mobile products – and we were there live for you!
Previously we've held Unpacked in scenic locations as Berlin, Barcelona and London. This year, Unpacked was held in the amazing Lincoln Center, New York.
Wishing you could have been there? Don't sweat it. Below is your front row access to everything you need to know.
What was the big announcement?
Well, there wasn't just one – but two. You heard it, two new Samsung phones along with a range of great new accessories.
Here's what you need to know about them.
Introducing the new Samsung
Galaxy S6 edge+
The new Galaxy S6 edge+ has a phenomenal multimedia display and audio capabilities, and its dual edge screen provides a brilliant immersive viewing experience for new levels of entertainment.
Samsung has also made some great new edge enhancements, including new Apps edge for quicker, easier access to all your favourite apps and enhanced People edge to easily communicate with your favourite contacts.
the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5
We launched our first Samsung Galaxy Note in 2011. Now we are excited to launch the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5, providing comfortable single-handed grip with a narrow bezel and curved back.
Galaxy Note 5 users will be taken to new levels of productivity and multi-tasking (as compared to the Galaxy Note 4) with advanced display technology and better S Pen functionality for quicker access to Action Memo, prompting users to an array of actions after they hand write notes.
Air Command, which launches immediately after the S Pen is removed from the Note 5, makes functions instantly accessible.
Smart Select for easier image clipping.
Screen Write, to annotate entire images and full webpages (up to 22 pages).
And here are the core Galaxy Features you can expect from both:
On processor and battery power:
Even though the new Galaxy smartphones are a delight to look at, they're arguably even more beautiful on the inside. With their Octa-Core processor, you'll experience incredibly fast, powerful and efficient performance, designed to keep up with the pace of real life!
Just in case that's not enough, let us tell you about the battery.
With outstanding life, Ultra-Fast Charging and built-in wireless charging capabilities*, the battery is designed to keep you going, and going, and going. And did we mention going?
The processor and battery go together like two peas in a pod.
* Compatible wireless charging pad required, sold separately. Charging cord for wireless charging pad not included.
Display, display, display…
The new display is a case of high-art meets high-tech. With a pixel-rich Super AMOLED display, images are so vivid, clear and beautiful, simple viewing feels like stepping into a whole new world.
Smile, we're about to tell you about the Cameras!
The ingenious double tap feature launches the camera quickly, so moments don't have to be lost, but can always be shared in all their incredibly vivid and bright glory – yes, even in low light!
And last but most certainly not least: Security!
You'll love the security as much as the design. t]With simple, touch-based fingerprint recognition the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the new Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ know how to look after themselves – and you. And that means less worrying, more living.
Accessories to customise
Now, on to accessories! Beyond personalisation, we're talking customise without compromise.
You can't have a beautiful smartphone without premium accessories and trust us when we say these accessories are PREMIUM! With the wireless charger and a range of covers every single thing has been designed to let you express yourself with a sense exceptional elegance and style.
Hopefully this gave you a taste of what we saw here at Unpacked today. Only just a taste – it's hard to unpack all this brilliance in one post!
