By Samsung Australia,  01.06.2016.

With fast access to the info you need, one of the most sophisticated mobile phone cameras, and advanced features that will excite gamers, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will make you rethink what a phone can do.

Better pictures than ever

Not every photo worth taking will happen in brilliant sunshine. That's why the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have cutting-edge cameras which take great photos when the light is low. These cameras have a brighter F1.7 lens and Dual Photodiode sensors so photos come out sharp and detailed, even when conditions are not bright.

Both phones take eye-catching 'motion photos.' By capturing three seconds of video with every photo, these photos literally start to 'move'! After taking a Motion photo, tap the 'play' button to playback the video, then simply move your finger back and forth across the image to see the full video capture.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge also take 'motion panoramas,' which captures video when taking panoramic photographs.

Feature frenzy

You will never be without the information you need quickly with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Both feature 'Always On Display,' which continually shows the time and/or, calendar with minimal draining of battery life. You can also choose the background from the available images, and download additional backgrounds from the Theme store.

The Galaxy S7 edge also features an improved 'edge panel' on its curved right-hand side. Simply 'swipe' the edge in from the right, and a panel of the most popular apps will appear. You can customise this panel to include your favourite apps.

Keep swiping for panels with specific tasks within apps (like creating shortcuts to a new message or taking a selfie), favourite contacts, or tools such as rulers and a compass. By selecting the Settings icon you can select or deselect panels, and even download some third party ones.

On the Galaxy S7, simply swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to get quick access to shortcuts, apps and phone controls.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge also have a 'split screen' mode that lets you view and transfer information between two different apps at the same time. To activate it, tap and hold the "Recents" button on the bottom left to view applications in split screen view.

And when you have vital information on-screen you need to keep, simply swipe your palm across the screen of either phone to create and save a screenshot.

Playing Games on S7 Edge

Unbeatable for games

Nothing tests a phone's limits and battery life like games. The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge pushes these limits further with innovations that will keep you playing for longer, with fewer interruptions.

Game Launcher allows you to turn off all alerts so you won't be interrupted during gameplay. You can also 'dial-down' the display resolution to extend battery life. All this can be done before you start each game.

And what would great games be without a record of the event? Simply click the 'tools' icon within each game and you will be able to start recording your gameplay, and even add your own commentary. Additionally, you can also minimise games, take screenshots, lock certain keys, and more.

Easy set-up

Setting-up the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge is easy and the onscreen instructions are straightforward and will guide you through every step.

It doesn't matter if you are switching from another smartphone provider, the set-up is easy with the Samsung Smart Switch app.

Simply connect your old compatible smartphone and new Samsung smartphone with the USB connector and cable included in the box, and Smart Switch will ensure you retrieve the contacts, photos and music that you love.
