Powered by Tizen, the slick new 2015 Smart Hub gets you to the content you want, quickly and seamlessly.
A Samsung Smart TV can be a gateway to great content. Stream movies and TV shows on-demand, browse the web, enjoy apps for games, sports, social media, and catch-up TV, share photos, video and music from compatible mobile devices to the big screen – and vice versa
3,8 – or play media from compatible USB sticks6, games consoles and Blu-ray players. Oh, and you can watch broadcast TV, too2.
With so much to explore, you need a slick, quick and clever way to get to what you want. The Smart Hub 1 at the heart of Samsung Smart TV is your navigator, an intuitive interface overlaying great content choices that springs into action when you click the Smart Hub icon on your Samsung Smart TV remote control.
In 2015, the Smart Hub 1 is powered by Tizen, a zippy Samsung operating system. (Don't yawn – that's the last time we'll mention operating system!) With Tizen now behind Samsung Smart TV, searching and switching between menus, launching apps, loading web pages, playing media over your home network and connecting to compatible wireless devices can be speedy and streamlined.
Coupled with the supercharged octa-core processor on our Series 9 SUHD models4 and quad core processor on our Series J5500 models and up5, the Samsung Smart TV experience is fast and fabulous.

Here are our top five favourite things about the Tizen-powered Smart Hub.
1. Browse and watch on the same screen
The coloured tiles of the Smart Hub overlay the screen as a narrow strip across the bottom, helping to ensure minimal distraction from what you're viewing. You can browse the Smart Hub while watching TV, so there's no need to miss a minute of the action while looking for other entertainment options. 1
2. Quick access to favourites
With lots of content options displayed at once, selecting an app, web browser, TV channel or device connected by USB or HDMI can be just one or two clicks away on a Samsung Smart TV remote control.
Enjoy the Smart Hub on Samsung Smart TV models from the Full HD J5500 model and up, including all UHD and SUHD TV models
3. Logically organised
The Smart Hub 1 provides different ways to access great content. Click 'Recent' to access the last TV channel you were watching, as well as apps and connected devices you've used recently.
Selecting 'Featured' reveals up to 14 recommended apps, such as Netflix, YouTube, Foxtel Play, iView, Quickflix or games. With new recommendations appearing all the time, it's a great way to discover new content and Samsung Smart TV features. To enjoy even quicker access to the content you enjoy most, you can bookmark apps and connected compatible devices so that they appear on the main screen. You could jump straight into YouTube streaming, console gaming, web surfing, and great apps with just a one-button click on the remote! 2

4. Powerful search
Another way of finding what you want is via the Smart Hub's
1 handy Search tool. This intelligently and quickly auto-completes common searches, designed to save you time when trying to nail down a specific program or app.
5. Quick connect
The second screen — whether it's a compatible smartphone or tablet — is quickly becoming part of the new normal when it comes to your couch potato time. That can sometimes mean that you find content on your small screen that you'd like to share on the big screen with your family or friends.
Smart Hub's Quick Connect feature lets you quickly connect compatible smart devices, for fast content sharing to your Samsung Smart TV. 1 It even works in reverse, so if you want to take TV content down to the smaller screen of your compatible device you can do so with ease.8
