Samsung Qantas partnership - Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards

Qantas and Samsung have partnered to give Qantas Frequent Flyers and small to medium-sized businesses that are members of the Qantas Business Rewards program new opportunities to be rewarded.

There will be short-term bonus offers to celebrate the new partnership, as well as ongoing offers for members of both programs.

These include:

Qantas Frequent Flyer members

9 May – 2 July 2017 (bonus offer):

  • 5 Qantas Points per $1 spent on select Samsung QLED TVs
  • 5,000 Qantas Points on a Samsung Galaxy A smartphone purchase

From 1 July 2017 ongoing offer:

  • 5,000 Qantas Points on eligible purchases of Samsung Sound+ soundbars and 10,000 points on Atmos soundbars.

Qantas Business Rewards members

9 May – 2 July 2017 (bonus offer):

  • 5 Qantas Points per $1 spent on select Samsung QLED TVs
  • 5,000 Qantas Points on a Samsung Galaxy A smartphone purchase

From 1 May 2017 ongoing offer:

  • 3 Qantas Points per $1 spent on the complete range of Samsung products including smartphones, tablets, monitors, printers, TVs, digital signage, hospitality displays and air conditioners.

The bonus offers will change regularly throughout the year to give Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards members the opportunity to earn bonus Qantas Points on different Samsung products.

As an example of the points earn potential, a member that purchases an entry level Samsung QLED TV with a recommended retail price of $3,999 between now and 2 July 2017 would earn 19,995 Qantas Points – enough for an Economy Classic Flight Reward from Sydney to Auckland[1].

Samsung Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Philip Newton, said: “Australia is a nation of early-adopters and we love our premium technology, whether it be mobile devices, televisions or home appliances.

“The opportunity to earn Qantas Points gives consumers and business customers another reason to choose Samsung and rewards our existing customers for their loyalty in the future.

“Samsung is immensely proud to partner with Qantas. We are excited to launch our partnership with these great offers and look forward to many more exciting new opportunities for our customers to earn points over the coming years of our partnership.”

Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said: “Home and personal electronic devices are ‘must-have’ items for many of us and generally require more investment than our everyday purchases, so our members will be delighted to know they can now earn Qantas Points on Samsung products.

“This will be good news in particular for Qantas Business Rewards members as it can be costly for businesses buying these types of items in bulk.”

Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards members can earn additional points on their Samsung purchases by paying for them using their Qantas Points-earning credit card[2].

They can continue to redeem their points on a range of Samsung products through the Qantas Store.
