SYDNEY, Australia – Wednesday, 25 November – Samsung Electronics Australia has extended its premium Chef Collection range of appliances in Australia with the launch of a new counter depth design, 751 litre, 4 door refrigerator. The refrigerator delivers a set of Samsung’s latest developments in appliance engineering that have been selected and refined to support greater versatility and flexibility for consumers, as well as help to keep food fresh.
Samsung’s premium Chef Collection range of appliances are inspired by Michelin Star Chefs, developed through Club De Chefs, a global initiative designed to deliver products with features based on insights from amongst the world’s leading Michelin Star Chefs. The latest addition to the range has been specifically to give Australian consumers a versatile and smart refrigeration experience in order to get the best out of their fresh food.
"At Samsung, we pay very close attention to the needs of Australians, as well as the feedback and insights of our Club De Chefs team who has helped design the Chef Collection range of appliances," said Mike Lilly, Samsung Australia’s Head of Home Appliances. "This latest Chef Collection fridge builds on the insights gained from working with the world’s best chefs and supports the needs of many Australians we have listened to this year through a dedicated lifestyle research program, Australians@HOME," Lilly added.
While revealing home cooking as one of the most enjoyable household tasks, Samsung’s 2015 Australians@HOME research report, conducted by TNS Australia (2015), found that each week, 35% of Australians will throw away their meal leftovers, with one in four throwing away unused vegetables.
"We believe Australians need better solutions to help improve the way they store and prepare fresh food, which is why we are excited to provide smart features like Precise Temperature Control, to help minimise temperature fluctuations of up to 0.5 degrees Celsius, as well as Triple Cooling Technology, powered by 3 2
separate cooling fans and evaporators to maintain desired temperatures, keep your food fresh and avoid the mixing of odours’," Lilly said.
The Chef Collection refrigerator range includes a range of features designed to help Australians keep food and meals fresh, whether they’re in large households, frequent entertainer, or a home chef extraordinaire who cooks and stores a wide variety of cuisines.
The new refrigerator comes with counter depth design, to help fit seamlessly into most kitchens, with depth of 610mm (without door). It also features a built in sparkling water dispenser with three carbonation levels, miracle temperature display, along with a fourth door convertible freezer that can be interchanged between four temperature settings (fridge at 2° C, chilled at -1° C, Soft Freeze at -5° C and Frozen at -23 to -17° C). This versatile compartment will give Australians the ability to store 158 litres of fresh food and beverages, great for when entertaining at your next dinner party or summer BBQ.
