Todd Lynton Joins Samsung Electronics Australia as Director of the IT Division

New director to drive growth and aims to position Samsung’s IT Division as a market leader

SYDNEY, Australia – October 17, 2012 – Samsung Electronics Australia today announced the appointment of Todd Lynton as Director – IT Division, effective immediately.

Todd joins Samsung to lead the Australian IT team, bringing with him a wealth of over 20 years of IT Product Management and Marketing experience and expertise. He has spent time working for companies including Panasonic, Polaroid and Olympus. Todd has also performed in his capacity for Cisco as the Managing Director ANZ – Consumer Products. Most recently, he has been employed as Country Manager ANZ and Singapore role for Fitbit.

Commenting on his appointment, Todd said, “It’s a great time to be joining the Samsung IT division, especially with the upcoming launch of the ATIV Windows 8 Smart PCs range – which will seek to offer a unique set of services and content experiences along with some of the very latest cross-category design principles. In his role, Todd will be responsible for leading the IT Product teams across Notebook, Print, Digital Imaging, Monitor and Storage. He will also be responsible for setting the direction for our IT retail approach.
