Upgrade PCs Easily with Samsung's New SSD 840 PRO Series

SYDNEY, Australia – January 22, 2012 – Samsung Electronics Australia, today announced its new local lineup of advanced internal solid state drives (SSDs) – Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series. The latest SSD helps make it easy for consumers and business to enjoy the benefits of a fast machine without having to purchase an entirely new system.

“Samsung’s latest range continues its commitment to improving computing speeds, reliability and overall performance,” said Todd Lynton, Director – IT, Samsung Electronics Australia. “Samsung’s 840 series offers outstanding real world usage scenarios – such as fast boot and resume times, exceptional multi-tasking and great battery life.”

Samsung’s SSDs ultilise flash memory data storage. This results in fast performance and exceptional reliability. The 840 series comes with an innovative MDX controller, which improves the speed regardless of the data type.

Samsung is a unique SSD manufacturer that engineers almost all of its components in-house. This allows it to meticulously fine-tune its hardware and software, and offer outstanding reliability and support like a five year warranty on Samsung’s latest 840 PRO.

The series also comes with a number of different businesses features, such as Worldwide Name (WWN) and an LED Indicator that makes it easy to integrate the SSD into server and storage systems. These features are also coupled with an AES Encryption, which makes it easy to help safeguard data against attack by encoding all information on the disk at the hardware level.
