Guillaume Brahimi has become one of Australia’s most renowned chefs since moving from his home town of Paris to Australia in the 1990s and opening some of the most iconic and respected restaurants in the country.
Based in Sydney, Guillaume operates Guillaume at Bennelong restaurant in the Sydney Opera House where he serves contemporary Australian cuisine reflecting a French classical influence and using the best of Australia' s fresh local produce. Since opening in 2001, the restaurant has been recognised as one of Sydney's best restaurants both in Australia and internationally. Two years after opening it held Two Chef Hats and the Best New Restaurant title in the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide and has maintained a minimum of Two Hats ever since. The restaurant has featured as one of Australian Gourmet Traveller’s highest ranked restaurants in its Top 100 since opening.
The next chapter for Guillaume saw him form a partnership in 2009 with Crown Entertainment Complex (Melbourne) and open Bistro Guillaume. The restaurant won Best New Restaurant in both the Australian Gourmet Traveller 2009 Restaurant Guide and The Age Good Food Guide and has held One Hat since 2012. In September 2012, Guillaume opened his second Bistro Guillaume in Crown Perth.
Guillaume has guest starred on several seasons of the hit TV program Masterchef Australia and is also a successful author, penning his first book, Guillaume: Food for Friends, in 2010. The book was a 2012 finalist in the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
This year Samsung Electronics Australia have partnered with Guillaume as ambassador for our Home Appliances and Cooking range.
