Samsung TV: What is 4K UltraHD?

Last Update date : 2017.05.11

4K UHD is a resolution of 3840 pixels × 2160 pixels (8.3 megapixels, aspect ratio 16:9). It is one of the two resolutions of Samsung ultra high definition TV. 4K UHD has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of the 1080p HDTV format, with four times (2 x 2) the number of pixels overall.

The term 4K refers to the horizontal resolution of these formats, which is approximately 4,000 pixels.

NOTE: You will see UHD on your TV screen instead of 4K.
