How to add a Widget

Last Update date : 2017.10.04

Widgets are small applications that are designed to provide a service or function.

Widgets help assist and manage functions or provide a way to quickly access settings.

A widget is a simple application extension that is often part of a larger application already installed on the device.

Widgets come in all shapes and sizes, are customisable, and reside on any available Home screen for quick access.

Widgets provide you with quick access to information without requiring you to open the app that manages this

information. An example is the Calendar widget, which provides you a quick view of your upcoming

calendar events without opening the Calendar application.

How to add a Widget to the Home screen

Step 1: Tap Apps apps and then tap the Widgets tab at the top of the screen.

1

Step 2: Tap and hold an available widget (for example, Assistive light as shown below).

Position the widget on the screen, and release it to add it to the Home screen.

2

Note: If the widget is too large, you will receive the following message: "No more room on this page."

The device will then attempt to place the widget on another Home screen with the necessary space.

On the other hand, if you wish to delete a widget from the Home screen, tap and hold the widget. Drag the widget to the Remove remove  icon at the top of your screen and release it.

Note: The widget is removed from the Home screen but is still available in the Widgets tab/page.
