How do i perform a Hard Factory Reset?

To perform a hard factory reset on your smartphone, follow the steps below:

 

NOTE: Proceeding with this option means all the data stored on the phone will be wiped out. It is recommended to back-up all your files first before performing a hard reset.

 

Step 1: Power the phone off. With the device powered off, press and hold the Volume Up key, the Home key and the Power key simultaneously for 7 seconds.

Step 2: When the phone vibrates (or you see the Samsung Logo), release the Power key but continue to hold the Volume Up and Home key.

 

Step 3: Continue holding the Volume up and Home key until the “Android system recovery” screen appears.

Step 4: Use the Volume buttons to scroll up and down to highlight the “wipe data/factory reset” option, and then use the Power key to make the selection.

Step 5: Press the Volume down key to navigate in the menu and highlight Yes __ delete all user data, and then press the Power key.

Step 6: Once the factory reset is done, you may use the Volume and Power keys to highlight and select the “reboot system now” option. The hard reset process will then be completed. Restart the device.
