Note: Once you have completed setting up your Gear VR, click here to view a detailed guide to learn how to install the Gear VR software.

You should not wear glasses when using the Gear VR as it may not be safe. If corrective lenses are required, it is recommended to wear contact lenses when using the Gear VR.

To start setting up your Gear VR, follow the steps below:

● Step 1: Insert each end of the strap through the main strap loop on the Gear VR (1).

Step 2: Use the velcro to secure each end (2).

.

Step 3: Carefully insert the hook (from the top head strap) into the front bar of the Gear VR (1), then pull it upward until it locks in place (2).

.

NOTE:

The hook clicks when secured.

The head strap contains a longer velcro strip and is used to secure the front of the Gear VR frame.

Step 4: Slide the top head strap through the loop (3) and use the velcro to fasten it (4).

.

Step 5: Gently pull the front cover toward you to remove the protective front cover.

.

Step 6: Gently push the device holder towards the left (1) and slide it into either position A or B (2) depending on the size of the mobile you want to use.

.

Step 7: Connect the multipurpose jack of the mobile device to the connector. A sound is emitted when the mobile device is connected properly.

.

 NOTE:
Do not forcefully insert the connector into the mobile device. Doing so may damage the connector.
Do not twist or bend the Gear VR’s connector when you connect or disconnect the mobile device. Doing so may damage the connector.
If the sound is not emitted when you insert the connector into the mobile device, the Gear VR may not have recognized it. Reconnect the devices until you hear the connection sound.

Step 8: Pull the device holder (right) to the right thoroughly.

.

Step 9: Insert the mobile device into the center of the Gear VR ( 1 ) and gently push the device holder (right) to the left until the mobile device locks into place ( 2 ).

.

NOTE:
Push the mobile device into the Gear VR firmly until it locks in place. If it is not securely locked, the mobile device may accidentally separate from the Gear VR and be damaged.

If you insert the mobile device tilted to one side, it may cause discomfort.

Step 10: Verify the orientation of the mobile.

NOTE: If you insert the mobile tilted to one side, it may cause discomfort. In this case, the mobile device screen will not be aligned properly to the lenses.

Step 11: Secure the Gear VR to the head with the straps and place it comfortably over the face.

.

Step 12: Adjust the length of the top head strap and the main strap.

 .

NOTE:

● Do not walk or drive while wearing the Gear VR. Always be aware of the surroundings while using the Gear VR to avoid injury.
Wear the Gear VR properly. If you wear the Gear VR tilted to one side, it may cause discomfort.
When the screen is tilted or blurred, adjust the Gear VR until the screen becomes clear.
