Gear Fit2: How to connect to a Mobile device

You can use your Gear Fit2 without a mobile device. However, some functions will not be available

without connecting to a mobile device. (Compatible with Galaxy devices Android 4.3 and above that

have minimum 1.5 GB RAM, non-Galaxy devices Android 4.4 and above that have minimum 1.5 GB RAM.) 

To connect the Gear Fit2 to a mobile device, install the Samsung Gear app. Depending on the mobile

device, You can download the Samsung Gear app from the following places:


● Samsung Android devices – Galaxy Apps 
● Other Android devices – Play Store


Note: Samsung Gear app cannot be installed on the mobile devices that do not support Gear

syncing. Ensure that the mobile device is compatible with a Gear.


Follow the below steps to connect the Gear Fit2 to a mobile device:

Step 1: Turn On the Gear Fit 2. The device will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

Step 2: On the Apps screen, tap Samsung Gear.


Note: If necessary, update the Samsung Gear app to the latest version.



Step 3: Tap Connect to Gear.



Step 4: When the Bluetooth pairing request window appears,

confirm the passkeys displayed on the Gear and mobile device.


Step 5: If the passkeys matches, tap OK.



Step 6: Read the Terms and Conditions, and tick the check boxes.

Step 7: Once done, tap NEXT.



Step 8: Tap SIGN IN to login your Samsung account or tap Skip to sign in at a later time.
