How to restart or perform factory data reset on Gear S3?

How to restart Gear S3

If the Gear S3 is frozen and unresponsive, close apps or turn Off the Gear S3 and turn it On again.

Step 1: Press and hold the Home key (power key) for more than 7 seconds to restart it.

 



Step 2: If this does not solve the problem (i.e. the device still sometimes freezes after rebooting it as described above), perform a factory data reset.

 

How to perform a factory data reset on Gear S3

NOTE: Since all data will be erased from Gear memory after factory reset, before performing the factory data reset, make sure to backup copies of all important data stored on the Gear. If the problem is still not resolved, refer to our Samsung Service Centre.

 
Step 1: Turn the bezel clockwise until the Apps screen appears.

 

Step 2: Tap On.

 

Step 3: Tap Settings.
