How to set up Secure Folder


Step 1: Go to the Settings menu → Lock screen and security.

Step 2: Tap on Secure Folder.

Step 3: Essential information regarding Secure Folder will be displayed. Swipe across and then tap on Start.

Step 4: Your device will prompt you to login to your Samsung Account.

If you do not have a Samsung account, you will need to create one in order to use Secure Folder.

Tap on Confirm to proceed.

Step 4


Step 5: Select a lock type to protect your apps and private files.

You can choose from Pattern, PIN, Password, or Biometric Security (Fingerprints or Irises) as your Lock Type.

Once you have selected your Secure Folder lock type, tap on Next to proceed.


Step 6: Confirm your current security verification method to proceed.

(Note: As an example, Pattern lock method was used).

Step 7: Secure Folder will be created and ready for you to use momentarily.
