Galaxy S8: How to set an Audio file as a Message notification

If you wish to set an Audio file as a Message notification, the audio file must be placed into the Notifications folder.



How to set an Audio file as a Message notification


Step 1: Go into the Apps menu → Samsung My Files.

Step 2: Navigate to the Audio file you wish to set as your notification.

Step 3: Tap and hold on the Audio file.

Step 3  


Step 4: Tap on the More options icon located near the top right of the screen.

Step 5: Tap Move (if you wish to move the file) or Copy (to keep a copy in the current location) to proceed.

Step 6: Tap on Internal Storage.

Step 6  


Step 7: Scroll down and tap on the Notifications folder.

Step 7  


Step 8: Tap on Done located near the top right of the screen. This will Move/Copy the Audio file you selected previously.

Step 9: Now you will be able to set the Audio file as the Notification. Go into the Settings menu → Sounds and vibration.

Step 10: Tap on Notification sounds Messages notifications → Notification sound.

Step 11: Tap on the Audio file which will now be visible in the Notification sound list and then tap on Back located near the top left of the screen or on the Navigation bar to complete the process.

Step 13: The selected Audio file has now been successfully set as your Messages notification.
