Why won't ice dispense from my fridge?

If ice doesn't dispense through the door then please check the following:


Make sure the "Ice Off" is not lit, and is not activated

Check if the Ice Bucket is fully inserted

      

(For models that have ice maker positioned on the door - Check for ICE OFF Icon blinking on the display. If it is blinking, ice bucket is not installed properly. This will cause the ice maker to stop functioning).


If the ice bucket is not fully inserted and you press the dispenser lever, you will hear the motor run, but no ice will be dispensed. Remove the ice bucket, and then reinstall it.

Check the wiring connection
 

If your refrigerator has just been newly installed and the doors were removed and reassembled, make sure the wiring harness is connected properly at the top of the door. For more information, please refer to your user's manual.

 

 

Check the ice type and function on display

 

Make sure the ice feature is on by selecting cubed or crushed on the display panel.

 

 

Check if there is ice jamming inside of ice bucket


When ice is jammed in the ice bucket, the ice may not dispense (this may happen if the ice maker is not used for very long intervals). Same thing if the ice are clung together in the ice bucket, the ice may not come out. Separate the ice and then use it.
