Samsung TV: There is no image / there is a delay of the image loading on my TV

Follow the instruction as below to troubleshoot issues with your television:

 

 

Step 1: Turn your TV on. 

 

 

Step 2: Press the MENU button img8.gif on the TV/remote control and see if the menu appears.  

 

Step 3: Choose and follow the instructions depending if the Menu appears or does not appear.

 

 

If the Menu Appears 

If the menu appears then your TV is powered ON, but is not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. To troubleshoot the problem, follow these steps: 

Note: You may not need to complete all the steps to resolve your problem.

 

Menu 

 

Step 1:  Press the SOURCE button img9.gif  on your remote and see if your TV is set to the same source as the connected device. If it is not then set it to the correct source. 

 

Example: If you have connected your cable box to HDMI 1 make sure that the TV source is set to HDMI 1. If your TV is set to the correct source and you still have no picture, continue to Step 2.

 

Step 2:  If your TV is set to the correct source, make sure that the cables are firmly connected to the input on the back of your TV and the output on your external device. If the cables are securely connected, continue to Step 3.  

For Example:

Step 3: Unplug the external device for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Power the external device back on. If you still have no picture, continue to Step 4.

Step 4:   Test other devices connected to the TV and see if they are displaying an image.  

Example: Test a DVD player, Game System, VCR, etc. If you have a picture with this device then the original device is defective and will need service. If you still do not have a picture with the secondary device, continue to Step 5.

Step 5:  Replace the connecting cable with a new or known working cable. If you still do not have an image on the TV, your TV needs to be serviced. Please click the "Create Online Service Request" button below to begin the service process. 

 

 

 If the Menu Does Not Appear 

 

If the menu does not appear, please check the status of the standby light on the TV.

 

The Standby light will appear in the lower right corner of the TV

Try unplugging the TV from the power socket for 10 seconds and then try again.
