Why won't my TV power on?

Last Update date : 2017.11.01

There are several possible reasons why your TV won’t turn on, follow the troubleshooting steps below to isolate the issue:

Step 1:  Make sure the AC power cord is securely plugged in to the TV and the wall outlet. If you are using a power board/surge protector, try plugging the TV directly to the wall outlet to check if the TV will turn on.

Step 2:  Make sure the wall outlet is working and matches the voltage requirement of the TV (AC 220 – 240V 50/60Hz).

Step 3:  Check the status of the Standby Light located on the lower right corner of the TV. If the light is on, it means the TV is receiving power.

Step 4:  Press the Power button on the TV (power button is located on the back of the TV, towards the bottom left,  in newer models) to make sure the problem is not the remote.

If your TV is still not powering on, your TV may need servicing. For other information please download a copy of User Manual (Click the link and select your model).
