Initialising the Ice Maker and its importance

Initializing the Ice Maker is important because it ensures proper ice production. It is simply a way of evenly distributing the ice in your ice bucket so that that ice level sensing obtains the most accurate reading of the amount of ice in the bucket. Once the process has been completed correctly, the only time you need to initialize the ice maker is when the ice bucket has been completely emptied (i.e. periods of extended inactivity).

Important: Before initializing the Ice Maker, the water line must be connected and the water supply valve must be completely open. Additionally, allow the unit to cool for 24hrs before dispensing any ice for the first time.

 

To initialize the ice maker, ensuring optimal ice production, it dispenses 3 to 4 cubes of ice from the ice maker every few hours until the ice bucket is completely full. Then, the ice in the bucket will be distributed evenly and maximum ice production will continue.

Note: If you begin to notice ice production slowing, check the level of the ice in the bucket. If it is concentrated in one area, you need to initialize the ice maker again.
