Samsung’s 85-Inch UHDTV and the Samsung Smart TV Camera were both given Best of Innovations awards.
The Samsung UHDTV (the world’s largest UHD LED television) was recognized for its unmatched image quality. Using innovative dimming technology, incredibly high contrast ratios, and more than 8 millions pixels, the television has ultra HD resolution that creates an ultra-real picture.
The Samsung Smart TV camera supports full HD resolution, which can be attached to Smart TVs that do not have a built-in camera. The device was recognized for advancing the quality of gesture control and face recognition.
“Samsung continues to create superior industry-leading products, contents, and service,” said Y.K. Kim, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “We are honoured that CEA and the industry have recognized this commitment.”
Samsung’s 2013 OLED TV as well as Samsung’s 7500 and 8000 Series Smart LED TVs were all awarded based on their superior engineering and design. Featuring incredible resolution and an ultra-thin bezel, the frame around the picture virtually disappears, creating a more immersive experience.
The Samsung EX2F Smart compact camera was recognized for its premium image quality and performance. Even the most discerning shutterbugs were impressed by how the strong yet lightweight magnesium body delivered full manual control and let people wirelessly share photos instantly.
TVs and cameras weren’t the only things cooking at CES. The Samsung induction range with FlexCook Zone stove was awarded for its innovative stovetop cooking service, featuring a boil sensor that eliminates boil-overs by alerting the chef or automatically reducing the heat to a preset level.
