  • The European Directive on Batteries and Accumulators aims to minimise the impact of batteries on the environment and encourage the recovery of the materials they contain. It was Good while it lasted! Died 3 weeks after warranty ended.

We were looking for a decent range when we were looking for one. We toyed with replacing the electric with gas, but opted for induction as an in between (gas like performance, but keeping electric).

We also like the idea of the dual oven which works great. We were apprehensive with touch controlls and they do work ok, but did take a bit of getting used to. I don't usually do review, but in this case I felt compelled to. The stove died 3 weeks after the warranty ended. I had one pot on boost and as other have reported as well I have received an E84 error. I have tried resetting it a few times and it is out of comission. The product did work good while it worked, but dying 3 weeks after warrnty ended is just ridiculous. There were other short comings as well, but they were fairly minor: glass top scratches pretty easily compared to others and you can not have all 4 burners running at full heat. Just wanted to share my $0.02 and help with a buying decision for the next buyer.

Safe for kids. Unreliable performance.

If you want to boil water for your mac and cheese in a hurry, and you like having settings for your chicken fingers and frozen pizza, then this is the range for you.

If you plan on doing any real cooking (e.g. cooking more than one item at a time, panfrying, using all burners at once, etc.), or feeding more than four people, then choose something else. I really wanted to like this range, and when I'm using only a single pan it usually works fine. However, as soon as I start using more than one burner it messes everything up. I can have two pans at the same setting, and while one is burning the chicken black, the other one barely browns it. The burners overheat and time out, they inconsistently sense the pans, and sometimes stop sensing them in the middle of cooking, and then refuse to sense the pan again, so you're stuck with half-cooked chicken soaking up oil in a cold pan while you try to figure it out. And that's a cast iron pan, which I was told is the best metal to use for induction cooking. We bought a rectangular griddle to put on the left side, and most times the thing only senses either the top or bottom, but rarely both, and when it does sense both, you have to move it around until the range finally senses it. We had someone in to fix it when it was still under warranty, but the repair guy said there was nothing wrong with it. The oven loses its heat quickly when you open it, and then doesn't always heat back up to the set temperature. I like the split convection oven and induction cooking, I just wish it was more reliable so I could invite people over for large meals and know that I'll be able to serve them cooked food. My next stove will be gas.

Poor design

The stove top burners are poorly designed and impractical. You can only use pots with very large bases on the two front burners.... which I tend to use the most.

I can only cook with one small pot at a time, using the back right hand burner. I can only use a medium sized pot on the back left hand burner. I find this restriction very frustrating. I have also found it difficult to find induction cookware with bases large enough to activate the two front burners. As it stands now... I rarely use either of the front burners.

The large element doesn't work

It is a design flaw. I shouldn't have to purchase a HUGE induction frypan in addition to all I've spent already.
