Recycling Batteries Responsibly
The European Directive on Batteries and Accumulators aims to minimise the impact of batteries on the environment and encourage the recovery of the materials they contain. In the UK, regulations on the recycling of batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries) were Introduced in 2009. The Waste Batteries Regulations aim to significantly increase UK collection and recycling of used portable batteries from 3% in 2007 to 25% by 2012, rising to at least 45% in 2016.
The battery symbol on a product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with general household waste. Instead, it is the consumer’s responsibility to dispose of their waste batteries at a designated collection point so that they can be recycled. The separate collection and recycling of batteries at the time of dispo sal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that they are recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. A comprehensive list of battery recycling centres can be obtained from: www.recycle-more.co.uk
All Samsung products that are subject to the Batteries Directive are compliant with the UK battery and accumulator Requirements. In accordance with national law, SAMSUNG Electronics (UK) Ltd is a member of an approved batteries producer compliance scheme. This scheme collects, treats and disposes of batteries on Samsung’s behalf.

My washer stopped working as soon as the warranty expired!
I purchased the Samsung WA422PDHR WR/AA in May and it worked well for 12 months before the machine destroyed itself during a high speed spin cycle. The upper plastic ring was grinding against the tub ring and a loud clicking sound could be heard when the drum turned.
I found several clumps of ground plastic in the wash tub after removing wet clothes. Damage can be seen on those rings and the tub flops around within the machine. This is a widespread issue that multiple reviewers have pointed to on the web. Samsung should take responsibility and fix this issue. See pictures of the issue here on samsung website.Show more +
DC error code nightmare!!!
We've had this washer for just a few months and already have issues with the machine. Its very easy for this machine to get off balance during the spin cycle.
Once that happens it gives a "DC" error code alerting you to redistribute the load. It doesn't matter if its a small load or large load. The machine stops, displays the error message, and after redistributing it goes for another minute or two and repeats the cycle. We are to the point now where the machine does not even spin at all and we hand ring out our clothes and make the dryer do all the work. We are now waiting on it to be serviced. There is nothing worse than and entire large washer full of wet clothes you can't get dry enough for the dryer:( I think we were better off with our cheap basic top loader washer than this thing!Show more +
minor water level problem
on average the washer works great low noise, locking lid to prevent childeren from opening while running, cute little jingle when clothes are done..HOWEVER the one complaint i ( my girlfriend ) have is that she works in the medical feild and has to wear SCRUBS the sensor that weighs the laundry for proper amount of water isn't set sensetive enough to read the weight of srubs ONLY.
it leaves 3-4 inches of her uniforms sticking out of the water and never pulls them under to wash properly. our only solution we can find is that she starts laundry and after it fills with water she pauses the wash and adds 1-2 more gallons of water and restarts wash, the rinse cycle works fine then because the wet srubs are heavier than the dry and the sensors workShow more +
Do not buy!
If you'd like a dependable machine do not purchase this. We have had it for less than two years and the same part is awaiting replacement for the third - yes third - time.
This unit flooded the basement in my newly built home, I was paid out an insurance claim in excess of the cost of the machine. It seems to break down about every six months. Due to lack of certified Samsung repair companies in my area I am waiting three weeks for the fourth repair. We have three children under the age of 6 and need a machine that is dependable - this is NOT IT!Show more +
