Recycling Batteries Responsibly
The European Directive on Batteries and Accumulators aims to minimise the impact of batteries on the environment and encourage the recovery of the materials they contain. In the UK, regulations on the recycling of batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries) were Introduced in 2009. The Waste Batteries Regulations aim to significantly increase UK collection and recycling of used portable batteries from 3% in 2007 to 25% by 2012, rising to at least 45% in 2016.
The battery symbol on a product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with general household waste. Instead, it is the consumer’s responsibility to dispose of their waste batteries at a designated collection point so that they can be recycled. The separate collection and recycling of batteries at the time of dispo sal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that they are recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. A comprehensive list of battery recycling centres can be obtained from: www.recycle-more.co.uk
All Samsung products that are subject to the Batteries Directive are compliant with the UK battery and accumulator Requirements. In accordance with national law, SAMSUNG Electronics (UK) Ltd is a member of an approved batteries producer compliance scheme. This scheme collects, treats and disposes of batteries on Samsung’s behalf.

Astoundingly durable phone, have had this basically since it was released, and it has never disappointed. I'm not entirely sure what these other reviewers were doing with their phones, but as long as you're not routinely smashing it against a brick wall, this thing never falls apart.
Pretty good features, well laid out, big sexy slideout keyboard that's a perfect size for typing (for me at least), and it's cheap as well. Phone is broken as of yesterday after years of abuse and several encounters with water, would absolutely buy another one if I could find one. A++ Product.Show more +
I have had this cell phone for less than 3 years, and I've had to send it in twice to have repairs made. Now, it's dead again! I was in the middle ofcomposing a text message, and everything froze, then went black.
I can't get it to start again, even by plugging in the charger (the phone was fully charged at the time). Also, I can't make calls on it....when I dial a number, I hear nothing - no dial tone, no voice when the call is picked up. All in all, very poor value.Show more +
Regret making this purchase of the Samsung Gravity 3
I purchased this cell phone from the SaskTel Store in the Scotia center in Saskatoon last June...I had trouble with it just going black and not coming back on, except once in awhile when I took out both the battery and the sim card it would work.
I took it back to the store in May this year and they sent it out to be "fixed". Then I went into the city yesterday for a funeral and turned the phone off before I went into the funeral. When it was done and I tried to restart the phone, it would not restart AGAIN. I tried taking out the battery and sim card again a few times but to no avail. Now, I will have to make another trip into the city to try to get this phone replaced. Very frustrating!!!Show more +
Screen says VIRGIN and can't be changed
Nice phone BUT I didn't intend to buy my daughter a phone that says VIRGIN in capital letter on the main screen. This can't be changed. Given this isthe pre-smart phone / pre-teen market, I think this is inapropriate to say the least.
(Carrier is Virgin Mobile)Show more +
