People Edge is a simple and easy way to communicate with your close friends and family. You can add up to five people as frequent contacts and assign individual colors to each, choosing from eight color options. When you select a color to swipe across the screen, you can check missed calls or messages from these people and call, text or email them back right away.
If you have the Galaxy S6 edge face down, the Edge Lighting feature lights up the edge screen when you receive calls or notifications. For the five selected contacts, the edge screen will light up with their own respective colors. All other calls or notifications will be shown with a bright light instead.
With an in-coming call, you have the option to reject the call and send a preset message by touching the heart rate sensor for two seconds.
The edge screen on Galaxy S6 edge also works when the device is in standby mode. When you activate the Night Clock for certain hours, the edge screen shows you the time and date using minimal power. This is possible because the Galaxy S6 edge comes with an AMOLED display that doesn’t require power for black pixels. It is designed to be seen best at night when the lights are off, so you can check the time in the middle of the night without having to turn on the display.
When you slide your finger up and down the edge screen when the display is in standby mode, you can also activate an information stream of notifications, weather updates and news.
The Galaxy S6 edge comes with a dual-edge display that is not only ergonomically designed for a better grip, but also has many features to give you added connectivity.
