Last Update date : 2014.09.08

Shutter Speed Setting On Camera

Shutter Speed refers to the amount of time it takes to open and close the shutter. It controls the amount of light which passes through the aperture before it reaches the image sensor.

• The faster the shutter speed, the amount of light passing through is less.

• The slower the shutter speed, the amount of light passing through is more.

Below are some images taken with 2 different shutter speeds. The one on the left was taken at 0.8 seconds and the one on the right at 0.004 seconds.
