Galaxy Rugby LTE™ - Wi-Fi®

Wi-Fi® is a wireless connectivity feature that allows you to connect Wi-Fi–enabled devices to share information or to connect to the internet. A shortcut is available in the Notification Panel, by swiping your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom. You can touch the icon to turn Wi-Fi on or off. When Wi-Fi is on, it will scan for and connect to any known access points (access points you have previously connected to).

Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

1. From the Home screen, touch Menu 1 > Settings 1 > Wi-Fi.

2. Access point device names and security requirements of detected Wi-Fi devices display under Wi-Fi networks. Touch the access point, commonly known as the network, you want to connect to.

3. Enter a wireless password, if necessary, and touch Connect.

Manually Add a Network

1. Touch Add Wi-Fi network.

2. Enter the Network SSID. This is the name of the access point you are connecting to.

3. Select the Security setting of the access point you are connecting to. If you select a security setting that does not match your access point, you will not be able to connect.

4. If secured, you will also need to enter your access point's password.

5. Touch Save to store the new information and connect to the access point.

Wi-Fi Status Indicators

The following icons show your Wi-Fi connection status at a glance:

2  Displays when Wi-Fi is connected, active, and communicating with a Wireless Access Point (WAP).
5  Displays when Wi-Fi is active and there is an available open Wi-Fi network.
